Good morning,Elmira’s annual Pride Festival will officially proceed as scheduled in Wisner Park this weekend after a Chemung County judge rejected a last-minute lawsuit seeking to block it. State Supreme Court Justice Christopher Baker ruled in favor of the city following a packed hearing. Local artist Julian Raven filed the suit, arguing the event's planned drag show violated zoning codes regarding adult-use activities in public spaces. The festival runs this Saturday from eleven to four.Meanwhile, New York Democrats have unveiled a controversial new plan to alter the state constitution to allow mid-decade political redistricting.
