The potential courtroom battle comes after a budget impasse triggered a shutdown warning. Neighboring member districts that voted down the technical center's spending plan state they have offered an alternative solution to amend their shared articles of agreement, which could keep the facility open if New Castle officials agree to the terms.Meanwhile, Pennsylvania lawmakers are on the verge of missing the state's annual general fund budget deadline yet again. Despite entering the final hours before the June thirtieth deadline set by law, General Assembly leaders in Harrisburg report that a final spending deal does not appear on the immediate horizon.And the community gathered over the weekend for the annual Dog Days of Summer fundraising event organized by Reed's Services.
